An initial amount of P207 million is ready for release next year as livelihood and community projects in Cordillera. The province of Ifugao will receive more or less 23% of the fund amounting to P47.37 million, the second biggest recipient.
Mountain Province will receive the lion share of more than 25% or P52.5 million. The amount of P45M, P35.8M, P15.2M, and P11.1M are allocated for Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, and Benguet provinces respectively.
The said fund is part of the Cordillera Bodong Administration-Cordillera People's Liberation Army (CBP-CPLA) memorandum of agreement with the Philippine government signed on July 4 of this year having a total funding of P264 million. Some community projects identified in the MOA include construction of bridges, roads, tramlines, irrigation systems and electrification. Livelihood projects include cooperative support and construction of multi-function buildings.
The project is under the PAMANA (Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan) program of the Aquino administration.
