Automatic weather stations (AWS) are installed in strategic locations of the Cordillera including the Ifugao State University, according to PIA.
AWS is a stand-alone device that measures weather-related factors such as air pressure, temperature, and humidity. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) also installed AWS devices to Abra and BSU-Benguet.
According to DOST, another device that monitors rainfall (Automatic Rain Gauges - ARGs) will soon be installed in all provinces of CAR which can be accessible online using Google Earth.

this is an indication that Ifugao is getting technical benefits for better protection and safety of the people. let's hope that our country will be able to withstand the challenges of being prone to typhoons and other natural calamities.
