Lamut to penalize citizens using/selling pellet guns (from P1,000 to P2,500 or six months imprisonment)

Local officials of Lamut recently banned the purchase, sale, display and distribution of pellet toy guns in all establishments to impose safety and welfare of residents in this municipality.
Anyone caught violating the provisions of the Toy Gun Ordinance will be arrested and penalized. P1,000 for the first offense, P2,000 for the second offense or six months imprisonment. For vendors caught selling, P2,000 for the first offense and P2,500 or six months imprisonment for the second offense.

pellet guns exemplify the real guns and the effect to children is devastating. common crimes nowadays involve minors. perhaps one way to minimize certain crimes like this is to start avoiding every single thing that will signify violence. i appreciate the endeavor of officials of Lamut, Ifugao, Philippines.
