LAMUT, Ifugao, April 19 (PIA) -- The Ifugao State University (IFSU) had started to impose new charges to further improve the services of the different departments of the institution.
According to IFSU president Serafin Ngohayon, the imposition of new fees is in line with the vision of the university for academic center of excellence and also in accordance with government memo circulars and executive orders.
“The Departments of Finance (DOF) and Budget and Management (DBM) joint circular has authorized government agencies like IFSU to impose fees to the services it renders to its clients at a reasonable amount,” Ngohayon said.
He said the imposed new charges cover the issuances of service records, certification of oath of office, certification of grades, consultation fees, treatment of wounds and injuries, various certifications, and sworn statement subscription.
Ngohayon explained that payment of said fees will be done in the cashier’s office of the university or in the servicing office provided an official receipt will be issued.
“The collected amount shall be deposited in the university’s trust fund under subsidiary ledger indicating the office or unit where the certification came from. It will be used to further improve the services of the office concerned,” the university president reiterated.
Meanwhile, regular tuition and special fees of the different courses offered including the graduate school were also increased to be implemented starting this school year 2012-2013. (MBL-PIA CAR, Ifugao)
