A total amount of Php117,520 was donated to the victims of a vehicular
accident in Aguinaldo town on January 30, 2013 by the personnel, pupils, and
students of the Department of Education (DepEd). According to DepEd Supervisor Arsenio Yongoyong
representing the Boy Scout of the Philippines (BSP)-Ifugao, the amount was used
to defray expenses such as hospital bills of the victims and donation to a
bereaved family. The accident occurred when a jeep loaded with senior scouts
from Kiangan National High School (KNHS) encountered mechanical defect and fell
on its side while traversing the hilly portion of Barangay Ubao, Aguinaldo.
Lawrence Digaw, a student of KNHS was reported dead on arrival while students Richard
Dumangeng and Irene Manghi, a teacher, and a driver were seriously injured.#jbnii
